EVENTS: Women's March 2018

I participated in the Women's March in Eureka this Saturday. I did more marching than I did photography because I wanted to march with my sisters. My good friend Christina, shared with us signs from the 1980s, which read, "Keep Abortion Legal," and "Stop Racism Now," two human rights issues that continue to be relevant today. Here is a compilation from the march.

Note: The last photo is from the Women's March 2017. Details about that event is on the caption.

"The Women’s March on Eureka (WME) was held on Saturday, January 21, 2017, with an estimated 5,000 to 7,000 people who attended the rally and march – the largest peaceful gathering in Humboldt County history. The march began at the C Street Market Square, proceeded a mile through Old Town Eureka, back to the Market Square. Individuals and groups from a broad cross section of the community participated in the event, distinguished by a display of mutual support, inclusion, respect, and willingness to stand up for fundamental American values of human rights, equality, justice."
